To listen deeply is a key component to living life as life.
In this experiential journey you will receive daily 'meditations' which may take the form of listening 'tasks', meditations and sometimes gentle movement invitations. These will be prerecorded / sent as instructions so you can do at any time throughout the day.
The work is formed from my own practice which draws on that of composers, embodiment practices and much more. We will listen to our terrain both internal and external. There is no objective in the form of 'intelligence'. This is an exploration of the senses to deepen our wisdom.
There will be a facebook group should you wish to connect and share experiences and there will be an option to attend a group zoom call with me.
Each morning you will receive either a recording meditation, video or daily task of a maximum of 30 mins or something that is a listening meditation and enquiry to be built into your day.
There will also be a private Facebook community should you wish to connect with others on this journey as well as two hour zoom meetings with me. Dates to be announced.
Some Questions and Anwers
What is this? It is a response to our current time and place. It is an exploratory course to support deeper listening of our environment, bodies and earth body.
What is deep listening? If reading a book is intelligence and experience equates to wisdom then deep listening is knowing. It’s like giving your inner compass and creativity a great big cuddle.
What are the benefits? Deep listening cultivates a greater sense of knowing by developing new ways of being in relationship to the world around us and our bodies.
What is it’s origin? The work draws upon my experience as Sound Artist / Therapist and Somatic Therapist. It is also influenced by the work of composers, Buddhist traditions and deep ecologists.
How does it work? You will receive an email each morning with a mindful listening exrcise / mediation. Each one is around 20 mins on average. You can fit it into your day. No need to be on line at a set time.
Who is it for? Anyone. You may be more drawn towards this if you are developing your creativity, working in the subtle realms or interested in being in relation to the world around you in an a new way. I’ve been asked can it be done with kids as part of home schooling. Absolutely!
I’m feeling anxious. Is it right for me? Yes - many of these can support nervous system health and my work is fully trauma informed but I do encourage you to chat to me first if you are meeting a lot of edges right now. There may be different support I can offer or point you towards.
What’s the exchange? There is reduced version of a ‘normal’ and ‘concession normal’ so it’s mega value as well as a donation option for those affected financially. If the latter applies to you anything is welcomed. Don’t let money be a barrier.
